The purpose of GBT:
Preserving dental health
GBT reduces the use of ultrasound and hand instruments. AIRFLOW® is minimally invasive on all types of dental tissue: dentin, cementum, enamel and gingiva. Minimal abrasion for maximum comfort: GBT allows patients to enjoy their natural teeth and implants longer.
Maintenance of orthodontic devices
Orthodontic appliances promote the development of biofilm in areas that are not easily accessible during daily brushing and traditional prophylaxis. Biofilm creates friction, gingivitis and caries. AIRFLOW® in combination with PLUS powder provides complete biofilm removal even in hard-to-reach areas. It is both safe and effective on teeth and braces. It prevents caries and hyperplasia.
Prévention des caries
Biofilm is not always visible to the naked eye. Revealing it facilitates its complete removal. GBT prevents caries and periodontal disease in children and adults.                                            No biofilm = no caries
Treatment of exposed dentin
The use of a plate developer allows safe removal of biofilm with PLUS powder even on exposed collars (stop when staining is gone). GBT is the only protocol that guarantees a minimally invasive treatment by direct visual control. AIRFLOW® PLUS powder mixed with hot water combines maximum comfort with minimum sensitivity.
Early detection of caries
Caries often develops in places that are inaccessible to rubber cups or brushes, such as interdental spaces, exposed necks, pits and grooves. AIRFLOW® cleans everywhere. A final check on clean surfaces allows a more accurate detection of caries. In addition, fluoride penetrates more easily on clean teeth.
Preserving aesthetic restorations
Gum recession is critical for aesthetic restorations. To prevent it, biofilm must be removed regularly. GBT protects your smile by effectively and gently removing biofilm around restorations. GBT prevents the appearance of stains and discolouration.
Preserving soft tissue health
Step 04 of the GBT, AIRFLOW®, removes biofilm in a minimally invasive manner. AIRFLOW® PLUS powder has been proven to be safe on gums and other soft tissues, while rotary and manual instruments can damage them.
Implant protection
The individual steps of the GBT protocol are minimally invasive for implant surface protection. Steps 04 (AIRFLOW®) and 05 (PERIOFLOW® with PLUS powder) are gentle on the implant surface, in contrast to metal instruments that can damage the implant surface and cause scratches.
Gingivitis treatment
AIRFLOW® PLUS powder easily and safely removes biofilm and newly formed calculus from the sulcus. The PIEZON® PS NO PAIN instrument removes residual calculus in a minimally invasive manner.
Mucositis treatment
AIRFLOW® and PLUS powder clean even the smallest roughness on the surface of the implants, allowing optimal removal of biofilm while being gentle on the surrounding tissue. The GBT reflects the state of the art in implant care.
Periodontitis treatment
PERIOFLOW® and PLUS powder preserve the cementum during treatment. They effectively remove subgingival biofilm from deep pockets. The PIEZON® PS NO PAIN instrument allows minimally invasive debridement. A final check ensures that no calculus remains.
Treatment of peri-implantitis
PERIOFLOW® and PLUS powder remove subgingival biofilm and significantly reduce bleeding around implants. For hard deposits, the PIEZON PI instrument allows minimally invasive debridement and preserves the implant surface.
