Implantology with immediate loading

This technique is a trend in modern implantology in which a temporary prosthesis is connected to the newly inserted implants. This way, the patient can leave the practice with fixed teeth. It is a blessing for every patient to be able to smile again in just one day.

In order for a dental implant (artificial root) to support the tooth, certain biological requirements must be met (healing phase).

Modern implantology is based on the development of biological knowledge about the healing process.

By strictly adhering to scientifically validated protocols, it is possible to place the tooth on top of its artificial root on the same day as the implant, thus allowing the patient to go home with a tooth.

The “classic” protocol for the installation of a dental implant (created over 35 years ago) provided for :

  • An operation to extract the tooth
  • 3/4 months of waiting
  • An operation for implant insertion
  • 4/6 months of waiting
  • An operation to reveal the implant (the implant was hidden under the gum)
  • 1 month of waiting
  • Making the tooth
  • A total of 9 to 12 months and 3 surgeries.

In 35 years, biological knowledge and technological advances have made it possible to develop much more effective and above all less invasive protocols with enormous benefits for patients:

  • Faster healing with surgery alone (one-step technique)
  • Immediately fixed tooth allowing a return to normal life
  • Cost reduction

Today, it is possible (when the basic requirements are present: availability of sufficient quantities of bone and high direct stability of the implant) to significantly simplify the original protocol which thus includes:

  • One operation to extract the teeth + immediate insertion of the implant + immediate placement of the temporary tooth
  • 2 months waiting time (with the tooth already in the mouth)
  • Creation of the permanent tooth (more beautiful and durable than the temporary tooth)

Total of 3 months and 1 simple surgery – with a tooth directly in the mouth – in other words, no waiting between tooth loss and new tooth.
